Cobblestone Golf Course Announces Expansion of Clubhouse

Cobblestone Golf Course, a long-standing favorite municipal course of Metro-Atlanta golfers, is excited to announce renovations to the Cobblestone Golf Course clubhouse. These renovations will more than double the size of the Grill Room, the dining area in the clubhouse, making the space much more functional for groups and to host tournaments.

The renovations, which began recently and are projected to be complete in September, will add 1,381 square feet to the Grill room, bringing the total square footage of the area to 2,296, and increase the seating capacity from 48 to approximately 100. Upon completion, the air-conditioned space will include extra indoor seating, have multiple large screen TVs, and include a built-in sound system with microphones. To assist in the renovations, Cobblestone Golf Course has hired Ward-Humphrey General Contractors, and the project is being overseen and managed by Cobb County.

“We are thrilled by the increased opportunities that come with renovating our clubhouse,” said Terry Harnage, General Manager of Cobblestone Golf Course. “The added space will allow us to better serve our guests and host tournaments that we did not have the capacity for before, opening up new, exciting possibilities for the future.”

The golf course is also currently undergoing renovations to the practice facilities to enhance the chipping green, bunkers and putting green. These enhancements are expected to be complete by June.

Cobblestone Golf Course opened in 1993 and underwent a full renovation in 2010. Offering Champion Bermuda greens, white-sand bunkers, and a lakefront Ken Dye design, Cobblestone Golf Course is owned by the Cobb County Government and has racked up awards and accolades over the years. These awards include a Four Star rating by Golf Digest, a spot on the (2011, 2012, 2013) “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” by Golf Magazine, and “2011 Best Municipal Courses in The US” by Golfweek.

Cobblestone Golf Course is locally managed in partnership with Bobby Jones Links and is located in Acworth, GA. For additional information on tee times, lessons and for answers on any general inquiries, please visit https://www.cobblestonegolf.com/.
