Club Car Sponsors “Vision, Accomplished” Masters® Week Car Extravaganza

Guests at this year’s Masters Golf Tournament will see great golf‚and great golf cars.

Club Car, the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, is once again sponsoring its Masters Week Car Extravaganza to demonstrate its claim that “If you can imagine it, we can build it.” The event began in 1985 to highlight refurbished, pre-owned vehicles and has evolved over the years.

“This year’s show, ‘Vision, Accomplished,’ focuses primarily on new vehicles and gives Masters guests an idea of the possibilities they have to customize Club Car vehicles,” says Mary A. Sicard, Club Car’s consumer marketing manager.

Details Make the Difference

Vehicles painted in colors such as Lexus® Starfire Pearl White, Lexus Stargazer Black Metallic and Ferrari® Blu Tour de France Metallic will dazzle the eyes of Masters guests. Many cars will sport team colors, pin striping and two-tone paint jobs as well as custom seats and wheels.

A “Hit-the-brakes” Happening

Rather than placing the cars in a central location, Club Car delivers these one-of-a-kind rides around town, at restaurants, shops and other businesses near the Augusta National. “Many of our local businesses ask for the vehicles because they see it as a way to drive traffic and to create a connection to the week’s festive atmosphere,” Sicard says.

Visitors can get up close and personal with 100 of the following vehicles:

Two- and four-passenger Precedent golf cars. This is the world’s most technologically advanced golf car.

Precedent i-2 Excel Stretch cars. Electric golf cars outfitted with kits that add two forwarding-facing, open-air seats and a whopping 35 inches of floor space.

XRT850 utility vehicles. Available in gas or electric, these powerful utility vehicles are great for neighborhood transportation, cruising the beach, hunting, camping and other applications. Yet they fit in the back of a pick-up truck or crowded garage.

XRT850 SE utility vehicles. Similar to the XRT850, but equipped with four forward-facing seats and a fold-down rear seat that holds two additional passengers or transforms into a flatbed.

Gold Standard Factory Remanufactured golf cars. These remanufactured, warrantied vehicles are the next best thing to a new car. The show cars will be lifted for a totally cool look.

After the tournament, Club Car dealers purchase the show cars for resale at their local outlets, although some of the vehicles are pre-sold to private owners.

“If you see a car that you like, contact your local Club Car dealer about customizing a similar car just for you,” Sicard says. To find a dealer near you, visit www.clubcar.com and select “Dealer Locator.”
