Château Élan Winery & Resort Partners with Troon to Manage Newly Renovated Golf Club

Château Élan Winery & Resort, the enchanting 16th century-styled château and full-service winery nestled among North Georgia’s picturesque foothills – has selected Troon® – the leader in golf management, development, and marketing – to manage the golf and clubhouse food and beverage operations at the Château Élan Golf Club.

Featuring two 18-hole championship golf courses and a 9-hole par 3 short course, Château Élan’s Golf Club is open to resort and daily-fee play. The Club’s Château Course opened in 1989 and was designed by Denis Griffiths. The 7,030-yard, par-71 course winds along three lakes and two creeks with water coming into play on 10 of the 18 holes. The Woodlands Course, also a Denis Griffith design, opened for play in 1996. The rolling hills and tree-lined fairways of this stun­ning 6,735-yard, par-72 course provide spectacular views on nearly every hole. The Club’s Short Course is located behind the Inn at Château Élan and features beautifully landscaped holes varying in length from 100 yards to more than 200 yards.

Recently renovated by Blur Workshop – an Atlanta-based architectural firm – Château Élan Golf Club now includes a refreshed front porch and players’ lounge, a newly redesigned golf shop, expanded locker rooms with upgraded finishes and fixtures as well as a new roof, paint and landscaping around the exterior. The club’s restaurant has been rebranded as “The Sarazen’s Bar & Grille” and now includes a large central bar, an open dining room, an entirely new 1,053 square-foot back porch for outdoor dining overlooking the 18th green, and “backyard” area with lounge seating and fire pits.

Château Élan’s “Wee Links” short game practice facility offers a place for guests to practice putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play. To assist guests in further improving their short-games, Château Élan is now home to a Dave Pelz Golf School, with one-day clinics as well as two and three-day schools available throughout the year. The golf clubhouse features a golf shop, locker rooms and restaurant and bar. In addition to outstanding golf, Château Élan also offers guests traveling for business or leisure a unique destination experience marked by its unmatched luxury, distinguished offerings and amenities. Home to the most awarded winery in the Southeast, seven delectable restaurants, 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and a destination spa, Château Élan invites guests of all preferences to explore and enjoy the property’s picturesque land and architecture.

Guests also have the option to choose an exclusive overnight ‘Stay & Play Experience,’ including a deluxe overnight room in the Inn at Château Élan, unlimited golf, cart access and range balls on the Troon branded Château course or Woodlands course. Tee times are recommended at the time of booking.
