Arborjet Celebrates Arbor Day 2018 with Events Involving Community Across the United States

Arborjet Inc., a revolutionary plant health care company, today announced its plans to celebrate Arbor Day, which falls on April 27, 2018. Arborjet will host several community events across the country, including opportunities for people to learn how to best plant trees, watch experts donate treatments to iconic trees, participate in creative planting workshops, and much more.

“Arbor Day is a special holiday for us because although we take strides to protect our nation’s trees year-round, it’s an opportunity to encourage others to join us in thinking about ways to sustain our environment,” said Russ Davis, President and Chief Operating Officer, Arborjet. “This year, we wanted to put special emphasis on the power of community. That’s why we’ll be providing opportunities for the public to learn more about what we do and get their hands dirty themselves. With the help of others, we can hopefully not only save one tree, but the whole forest.”

The list of Arborjet’s current Arbor Day events are as follows:

Tree Planting in Santee Lakes Park in San Diego, CA – April 21, 2018
Arborjet will take part in Green Day at Santee Lakes Park in San Diego from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm to discuss proper tree planting methods.

Pinchot Sycamore Treatment in Simsbury, CT – April 27, 2018
Arborjet is donating treatments to the largest tree in Connecticut, the beloved Pinchot Sycamore. Estimated to be at least 200 years old, the treatments will help to ensure the tree remains healthy for years to come.

Waterfront Sycamore Treatments in Newburyport, MA – April 28, 2018
Join Arborjet and Swazy & Alexander Landscaping, LLC. for the kickoff of Arborjet’s Saving America’s Iconic Trees tour. In addition to Arborjet donating tree treatments in Newburyport’s downtown area, there will be a cookout and vendors joining in the celebration.

 Ornamental Workshop at Botanical Garden in St. Louis, MO – April 27, 2018
Arborjet’s South Central Regional Technical Manager, Emmett Muennink, will be giving an expert presentation on Emerald Ash Borer during an Ornamental Workshop at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis.

“Create & Learn” Workshop at Create & Escape in Peabody, MA – April 27, 2018
Join Arborjet, in partnership with Northeast Nursery, at Create & Escape in Peabody to make a personalized rustic flower box, while receiving a hands-on demonstration of best practices in planting. Arborjet and Northeast Nursery will donate 15 percent of the proceeds to Essex Agricultural and Technical High School in Danvers, MA. Tickets can be purchased here.

Oak Wilt Seminar and Treatment Demonstration in Cleveland, OH – April 28, 2018
Arborjet’s Technical Manager for Turf and Ornamental, Golf and Specialty Markets, Kevin Lewis, will assist city tree commissioner, Domenic Liberatore, in treating Quarry Park’s oak trees. Join the team for the demonstration and a seminar on the importance of protecting oak trees from oak wilt, a fungal disease. The group will meet at the pavilion at 10:00 a.m.
